Departs Auckland · Fully Guided · Small Group Tour

For those who want to see it all without rushing, our two-week journeys combine the perfect balance of adventure and exploration. You’ll discover New Zealand’s diversity - from geothermal hot springs to snow-capped peaks, while enjoying a social, small-group environment that makes every day a new experience.

Wild Kiwi is a B Corp Certified tour operator, which means we’re independently verified for our social and environmental impact. We travel by the Tiaki Promise: Aotearoa's pledge to care for the land, the people, and the culture.
Small groups leave smaller footprints. Our group cap of 18 means less pressure on the trails and viewpoints we visit.
We also choose low-impact suppliers and brief every guide on Leave No Trace principles.
Our guides introduce Māori place names, stories and customs as you travel. We also engage thoughtfully at cultural experiences along the route, whether that's a hāngī dinner at Mitai or a stop at a wāhi tapu site.

Wild Kiwi offers a variety of options for different budgets, with our most affordable 2-week tour package starting at just $3,950 NZD.
That really depends on your preference, but summer (Dec-Feb) is one of the most popular options for the beaches and sunny weather. Those more interested in skiing or South Island travel often opt for Winter (Jun-Aug), as Queenstown is especially beautiful then. Practicality-wise, the shoulder seasons, Autumn and Spring, tend to be more affordable and quieter, making them a great option for those who are craving a slower pace and a bit of peace.
14 days covers both islands comfortably with time for the major destinations. If you want to add extras (Stewart Island, Bay of Islands, Great Barrier Island, or a multi-day hike), consider stretching to 3 weeks. If you want to go for less than 2 weeks, it’s worth picking one island and doing it properly.
Every Wild Kiwi 14-day tour uses a short domestic flight to get you between the North and South Islands (usually Auckland to Christchurch or Christchurch to Auckland). It's a quick, comfortable transfer that gets you to your next destination the same day, leaving more time on your trip for the parts that matter.
Roughly 4-6 hours of driving per transit day, but there are plenty of scenic stops built in. Non-transit days (Queenstown, Franz Josef, Rotorua) are local, with minimal driving. Your guide handles all the driving in a comfortable luxury Mercedes Sprinter, so you're free to watch the scenery, nap, or get to know the group.
